공통교육과정의 음악교과서 분석을 통한 감상 활동 고찰

A Study on Music Appreciation Activity through Analysis of Music Textbook in National Common Curriculum

본 연구는 우리나라의 공교육 현장의 음악교육 중 감상 활동에 대해 알아보고자 한 연구이다. 음악 교과 수업에서 학습자 활동이 지니는 의미를 이해하고 가창, 기악, 감상, 창작의 활동으로 구분되어 있는 음악 활동 중 현장 수업에서 교사들이 어려워하는 수업 주제인 감상 수업에 대해 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 감상 수업의 질적 향상을 위한 기초 연구로써 진행되었다. 연구 진행은 우리나라 공통교육과정인 초등학교와 중학교의 음악교과서를 대상으로 하였다. 고등학교의 경우 음악교과는 선택과목으로 학년에 따라 공통과 심화로 나누고 있어 본 연구에서 제외하였으며 초등학교 저학년인 1, 2학년의 경우 또한 음악 교과는 즐거운 생활에 포함되어 있기 때문에 별도 교과서가 없어 연구 대상에서 제외하였다. 2015년 개정 교육과정에 준한 교과서를 대상으로 하였으며, 학년별, 출판사별 교과서 내의 감상 학습을 위해 제시하고 있는 제재곡들에 대해 정리하여 분석하였다. 교과서에서 제시된 감상 활동을 위한 학습은 거의 대부분이 수동적인 학습 형태를 기본으로 하고 있었다. 현 우리나라의 교과서에서 제시된 감상 활동을 위한 전개는 대개 음원 자료를 중심으로 작곡가나 시대별 개괄적인 정보를 주고 있었으며 ‘듣고-느끼고-표현‘하는 감상 학습의 기본 구조에서 주로 학습자의 듣는 부분을 중심으로 감상 수업의 내용이 구조화 되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 기초연구를 통해 교실에서 하는 감상 수업의 방향성에 대해 고민해 보고 교사의 감상 수업을 위한 교과서 활용 방법 및 교실 음악 수업에서의 교사의 역할에 대한 후속 연구들이 진행될 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

This study is to know on the music appreciation activity in music class of the public education sites in Korea. The purpose of this study is to understand on importance of learning activity by learners in a music class teaching, and also to know teacher’s difficulty in teaching a music appreciation subject among music activities of singing, performing, making, listening, which are categorized in national music curriculum. This study is a base research for continuing study for improving quality of music appreciation. An object of this study is music textbooks of elementary schools and middle schools, which are national common curriculum. Highschool curriculum is not included because a music class is one of the selective subjects for students, and also categorized into two-separated tracks – common and advanced curriculum depending on grades. Also for the 1st and 2nd grades in elementary school, music textbook is offered in a form of the integrated textbook, title as ‘Enjoying Activities’. So this is also not included in this study. For this study, the music textbook according to 2015 Revision Curriculum are a subject of this and by school years and publishing companies, songs and music pieces for a class of music appreciation teaching are organized for analysis. Learning for the appreciation activities presented in the music textbook is almost based on passive learning form. In the current textbooks of our country, the development through the activities of the music appreciation mostly is centered on giving information on composers or/and the periods of the music pieces, utilizing around the listening activities. For the learning cycle in the music appreciation, ‘listening – feeling(emotion) - expressing’ is the basic ideal expected learning circle for learners. However learner’s simple listening is mostly emphasized in the music textbooks. Through this base research, continuous study is necessary over the direction of the music appreciation class in national common curriculum, and follow-up study should be continued on class music appreciation in aspects of the use of textbooks by teachers in teaching and the meaningful role of teachers in the class for music teaching in general.
