본 연구의 목적은 Luyten, Mayes, Nijssens와 Fonagy(2017)가 개발한 모 정신화 척도를 타당화 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 총 영유아를 양육하는 모(471명)를 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 무선으로 두 집단으로 나누었다. 첫 번째 집단은 200명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 두 번째 집단은 271명을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 3요인(마음에 대한 확신, 전-정신화 태도, 관심과 호기심), 총 15문항으로 나타났다. 확인적 요인분석 결과, 연구모형은 수용할만하거나 좋은 적합도 지수를 보였다. 선행 연구를 토대로 모 정신화와 부모양육행동, 양육스트레스, 정서자각, 간이정신진단검사, 공감, 성인애착척도와의 관계를 측정하여 타당도를 확보하였다. 신뢰도 검증을 통해 수용할만한 신뢰도 계수를 얻었다. 본 연구 결과는 모 정신화 연구를 활성화시킬 수 있을 것이며 상담현장에서 모 정신화 능력을 촉진하는데 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구의 한계점과 후속 연구를 위한 제안을 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to verify the validity of the Korean version of the mother mentalization Questionnaire(K-MMQ) developed by Luyten et al. (2017), using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Participants were 471 mothers of preschool children. The 3-factor (certainty about mental states, pre-mentalizing modes, interest and curiosity) 15-item model showed acceptable model fit indices. The criterion validities were verified by the correlation between mother mentalization and parental raising behavior, parental stress, emotional awareness, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, empathy, and adult attachment. Limitations and implications are discussed.
