본 연구는 초심상담자의 상태불안과 심리적 소진의 관계에서 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과와 수퍼바이저 지지의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구를 위해 서울·경기·대구·대전 등 4개의 지역에서 상담 경험이 있고, 수퍼비전 경험이 1회 이상인 3년 이하의 상담자 138명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 중 113부를 분석하였다. 측정도구로는 상태불안, 인지적 정서조절, 심리적 소진, 수퍼바이저 지지 척도를 사용하였으며, 결과는 SPSS 21.0과 SPSS Macro를 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초심상담자의 상태불안과 심리적 소진의 관계를 인지적 정서조절이 매개하는지 분석한 결과, 초심상담자의 상태불안과 심리적 소진의 하위요인인 정서적 소모와의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초심상담자의 상태불안과 심리적 소진의 하위 요인인 정서적 소모 사이에서 수퍼바이저의 정서적 지지와 평가적 지지의 조절효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 초심상담자의 심리적 소진에 미치는 요인들을 검증하고 초심상담자의 심리적 소진에서 수퍼바이저의 지지가 갖는 시사점을 제공하였다.
The purpose of this study was to examine both the mediating effects of cognitive emotion regulation and the moderating effects of supervisor support on the relationship between state anxiety and burnout in novice counselors. Participants included 138 novice counselors with less than three years of experience who have received supervision at least once in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, Daegu, and Daejeon provinces. Data obtained from 113 participants was analyzed. State anxiety, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI), and Supervisor Support measures were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and SPSS Macro. Results are as follows: First, mediating effects of maladjustive cognitive emotion regulation were found in the relationship between state anxiety and emotional exhaustion; one of the three subscales in burnout. Second, supervisor appraisal support and emotional support moderated the relationship between state anxiety and emotional exhaustion. Factors effecting novice counselor burnout and practical implications for supervisor support are discussed.
