한 유치원 교사의 교육실천 이야기에 나타난 놀이중심교육의 특성

Characteristics of Play-based Education in the Story of Educational Practice of a Kindergarten Teacher

본 연구는 한 유치원 교사가 교사로서의 삶을 돌아보며 교육실천에 대한 의미를 부여하고자 작성했던 이야기에 나타난 놀이중심교육의 특성을 밝혀보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 교직경력 15년의 한 중견 유치원 교사가 직접 작성한 자신의 삶, 교육, 놀이실천 이야기 텍스트를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 김교사의 놀이중심교육이 실천되는 모습은 첫째, 유아의, 유아에 의한, 유아를 위한 교육으로 실천하고 있었고, 둘째, 유아들의 놀이 세계를 이해하기 위해 공을 들이고 있었고, 마지막으로 교육주체들의 관계를 통한 더 나은 놀이중심교육을 실천하고 있었다. 이 연구는 한 교사의 교육 실천이야기를 통해 놀이중심교육과정의 특성을 파악할 수 있었고, 놀이중심교육과정이 성공적으로 정착하는데 기초 자료를 제공하고 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of play-oriented education in a story written by a kindergarten teacher to reflect on her life as a teacher. For this purpose, we analyzed the text of the story of education practice written by a kindergarten teacher with 15 years of teaching experience and interviewed the teacher. The results of the study are as follows. First, the teacher s play-centered education was practiced as education of young children, by young children, and for young children. Second, the teacher observed and interpreted the play world of young children. Third, there was practice that valued the relationship between young children. teachers, and parents.
