본 연구의 목적은 장애대학생의 장애정체성과 낙인이 진로성숙에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고 장애정체성 및 낙인과 진로성숙과의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개역할을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 수도권지역의 8개 대학교와 충남·대구지역 2개의 대학교에 재학 중인 장애대학생 220명을 대상으로 각 변인에 대한 지각을 알아보는 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자기보고식 질문지법으로 조사하였다. 이중 불성실하다고 판단되는 104부의 설문을 제외한 116부를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 장애정체성과 자기효능감은 진로성숙과 정적인 상관이 있었으며, 낙인과 진로성숙간의 관계는 부적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 장애대학생의 진로성숙을 향상시키기 위해서는 장애정체성을 확립시키고, 자기효능감을 증진시키는 것이 필요하며, 낙인의 감정을 덜 느낄 수 있도록 돕는 것이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 장애정체성, 낙인과 진로성숙간의 관계에서 자기효능감은 부분매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 장애대학생의 진로성숙에 있어서 그들의 장애정체성과 낙인의 직접적인 영향에 초점을 두기보다 자기효능감을 증진시키는 것이 더 중요하다는 점을 의미한다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구결과의 의의와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of self-efficacy on the relationship between disability identity, stigma and career maturity. 116 university students with disabilities were recruited from Seoul, and surrounding areas. A self-administered survey was conducted to assess participant’s disability identity, stigma, self-efficacy and career maturity. Results are as follows: First, higher disability identity coupled with lower stigma and higher self-efficacy led to greater career maturity. Second, the student’s self-efficacy had a significant mediation effect on the relationship between disability identity, stigma and career maturity. Implications and suggestions for future research are addressed.
