본 연구의 목적은 성인용 애도 척도를 개발하고, 그에 대한 타당도를 검증하고자 하였다. 먼저 성인용 애도 척도를 위하여 애도 관련 연구 및 문헌들을 고찰하여 애도에 정의를 내리고 그에 따라 상실의 혼란과 충격, 상실의 고통, 삶의 회복과 성장 세 가지 하위요인을 설정하였다. 문헌연구 및 기존 애도 관련 척도분석과 사별자 면담 내용 분석을 통해 기초 예비문항을 구성하였으며, 2차 내용타당도 검증을 통해 각 문항의 이해도와 하위척도 문항의 적절성 등에 대해 검증하여 최종 예비문항 79문항이 선정되었다. 최종문항 선정을 위해 최종 예비문항 선정으로 구성된 79문항의 애도 척도를 가지고 사별을 경험한 성인 400명에게 검사를 실시하여 탐색적 요인분석과 신뢰도 검증을 실시하였다. 이렇게 개발된 성인용 애도 척도의 구인타당도, 수렴 및 변별타당도를 검증을 위하여 확인적 요인분석과 애도 척도, 외상 후 성장 및 우울척도와의 상관분석을 통한 공인타당도를 실시하였고, 그 결과 모두 양호한 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to develop the mourning scale for adults who experienced loss of an important figure. Reviews of previous studies on the mourning indicated that three-factor solution is appropriate to measure the construct. Preliminary testing items were developed based on the definition suggested in the previous research on mourning. The content validity was evaluated by expert panels and 31 items were constructed. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted in order to validate the construct validity. Correlation analyses with measures of post-traumatic scale and depression scale were employed in order to evaluate convergent and discriminant validity of the measure. The results showed the appropriate levels of construct, convergent, and discriminant validity.
