교사의 성격, 낙관성, 희망이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

The influence of personality, optimism, and hope on psychological well-being in middle school teachers

교사의 역할에 대해서는 모든 사람들이 그 중요성을 인식하고 있다. 교사가 맡은바 역할을 잘 수행하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 교사의 심리적 안녕감이 높아야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 교사의 성격, 낙관성, 희망이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석을 통하여 교사의 심리적 안녕감을 높이기 위한 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경기지역에 근무하는 296명의 중등교원으로 여교사의 비율이 77.4%로 남교사에 비해서 높은 편이며, 평균연령은 28.3세로 나타났다. 연구도구로는 LCSI(임승환, 박제일, 2010), 낙관성(김주신, 1995), 희망(김택호, 2004), 심리적 안녕감(김명소 등, 2001)을 사용하였으며, 분석결과 LCSI의 자아개념, 신중성, 사교성 그리고 낙관성과 희망이 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 결과와 기존연구와의 비교 분석 및 연구의 제한점이 함께 제시되었다.

It is important to ensure that the role of teachers is very significant. For teachers play their role appropriately and faithfully, their psychological well-being should be considered first. The purpose of this study was to investigate personality, optimism, and hope as predictors of psychological well-being in teachers, seeking ways to increase their psychological well-being. For this study, self-reports data from 296 teachers (67 male teaches, 229 female teachers) of middle school was obtained. The percentage of female teachers (77.4%) was higher than that of male teachers (22.6%) and the average age was 28.3. The instruments included LCSI(Lim’s Character Style Inventory: Lim & Park, 2010), Optimism(Kim, 1995), Hope(Kim, 2004), and Psychological well-beings(Kim et al., 2001). The results of the study were as follows, Self-concept, Prudence and Sociability, which are the sub-types of LCSI, optimism, and hope did affect to psychological well-being. Based on the results, more findings and implications were discussed.
