본 연구는 만 5, 6, 7세 아동을 대상으로, 아동 실행 기능과 부모 양육 태도와의 상관을 밝히려는 목적으로 실시되었다. 이를 위해 Denckla(1996)의 실행 기능 4영역 개념 모델에 따라 계획, 억제, 전환, 작업 기억을 평가하기 위해 4가지 실행 기능 검사를 실시하였고, 부모 양육 태도를 측정하기 위해 이원영(1983)이 번안한 Shaefer(1959)의 MBRI 설문지와 임호찬(2010)이 개발한 부모양육태도 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 보았을 때, 본 연구에서 선행 연구의 부모 양육 태도와 아동 실행 기능간의 상관관계를 지지해 줄 만한 결과가 도출되었으며, 부모의 양육 태도가 아동의 실행 기능에 영향을 주고 있음이 시사되었다. 또한 선행 연구에서는 실시되지 않은 아버지의 양육 태도가 추가 되었는데, 이는 양육에서 아버지의 역할과 어머니의 역할이 다소 차별적인 한국의 문화적 성향이 반영된 것이라 볼 수 있다. 한국 문화에서 어머니는 정서적 보살핌과 감정 교류의 역할을 하는 경향이 있는 반면, 아버지는 아동의 인지 발달에 어머니보다 더 많은 영향을 미치는 경향이 있음을 반영해 주는 결과로 볼 수 있겠다. 본 연구 결과 아동의 실행 기능의 분화와 더불어 비교적 난이도가 쉬운 과제에서는 정서적 영향을 많이 주는 어머니의 양육 태도가 유의미한 설명력을 보였으며, 난이도가 어려운 과제에서는 인지적 영향을 많이 주는 아버지의 양육 태도가 유의미한 설명력을 보였다. 또한 아동에게 영향을 주는 양육 태도 또한 분화되어 연령이 높아질수록 더 많은 양육태도 변인이 아동의 실행 기능에 영향을 준다는 것이 밝혀졌다.

This study targeted 92 children of aged 6, 7, 8, and conducted the executive function test such as ‘ Stroop Color and Word Test, Children s Color Trails Test, Digit Span, Block Design, and Maze.’ Parents Fostering attitude targeted both mothers and fathers of tested children. The questionnaires about parents fostering attitude used Schaefer s(1959) Maternal Behavior Research Instrument and Lim, Ho Chan s(2010) questionnaires on parents fostering attitude. The result of this study is as follows, The meaning of this thesis was studying executive function and parents fostering attitude which have not been studied much. Also, in the existing studies, only mother s fostering attitude was included, but this study included father s fostering attitude and found out that father s fostering attitude has an effect on child s cognitive development. This founding suggests that in the aspect of fostering attitude, father and mother play a different role in child s development. While mother s fostering attitude influences child s emotional part, father s fostering attitude has an effect on child s cognitive development. In this study, there is a limit that parents SES level, the level of education which can be major factors in the process of analyzing father s fostering attitude, which will be necessary to be proved in the future study.
