Development of the Scale of Disability Acceptance for Mother with a Disabled Child

The purpose of this study was to develop the scale of disability acceptance for mother with a disabled child. The scale of disability acceptance for mother with a disabled child is base on the process and stages of the disability acceptance of mother with a disabled child. The main findings in this study are as follows. First, disability acceptance of mother with a disabled child consisted of 8 subordinate factors (shock, shame, acceptance, denial. overprotection, reaction formation, guilty, doubt). Second, this study confirmed that the scale of disability acceptance for mother with a disabled child was reliable and the validity of this scala by content validity, construct validity, and concurrent validity.
