In this study, We carried out the emotional intelligence improvement program for the early adolescent and attempted to identify the effect of it. The subjects of this study are 50 Y elementary school students in Daegu City. They are all forty volunteers, who heard the recruit announcement of participants from their teacher and they were allocated randomly in the experimental groups and the control group. In the experimental group, the emotional intelligence improvement program for the early adolescent was organized and undertaken on the basis of the concept definition of emotional intelligence by many scholars and its components. Meanwhile, any steps were taken in the control group but just measured before and after treatment. From the process of the study, we obtained the following results: 1. The emotional recognition score improved more in experimental group at which emotional intelligence improvement program was carried out than the control group. 2. There was no difference in expression of emotion score between the training group and the control group. 3. There was no difference in empathy score between training group and the control group. 4. The emotion control score in the training group improved more than the control group. 5. The emotion application score in the experimental group at which the emotional intelligence improvement program for the early adolescent was carried out improved more than the control group.
