The purpose of this study was to investigate a structural relationship among the related variables of adolescent s delinquent behavior. 518 high school students residing in Daegu City and Kyungpook province completed questionnaires assessing family cohesion and adaptability, social problem solving ability, and delinquent behavior. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analysed using AMOS17.0, and a maximum likelihood minimization function. Goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. The results were as follows: First, the family cohesion, adaptability, and adolescent s social problem solving ability had a significant direct effect on adolescent s delinquency. Second, family adaptability enjoyed a significant direct effect on the adolescent s social problem solving ability. Finally, the substantial indirect effect of family adaptability on adolescent s delinquency was mediated by interpersonal problem solving ability.
