The Relation of Disfunctional Meta-cognition, Metacognitive Awareness, Meta-mood, Gibchak, Mindfulness-Based Self-Efficacy, and SCL-90-R

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relation of disfunctional meta-cognition, metacognitive awareness, meta-mood, Gibchak(clinging), mindfulness-based self-efficacy, and SCL-90-R. The subjects were 253, male(79) and female(174). The instruments used in this research were Meta-Cognition Questionnaire(MCQ), Metacognitive Awareness Scale(MAS), Trait Meta-Mood Scale(TMMS), Gibchak scale, Mindfulness-based Self Efficacy Scale, and SCL-90-R. Analysis methods applied in this research were correlation analysis, and regression analysis to identify relations of a disfunctional meta-cognition, mete cognitive awareness, Gibchak, meta-mood, mindfulness-based self efficacy, and SCL-90-R by SPSS 12.0. The results of this research were as followed: (1) Dysfunctional meta-cognition was related with scores of SCL-90-R positively, and scores of a mindfulness-based self-efficacy negatively. (2) mindfulness-based self-efficacy influenced in SCL-90-R negatively, and disfunctional meta-cognition influenced in SCL-90-R positively. (3) mindfulness-based self-efficacy can be a useful scale to predict mental health of university students because of significant relations of SCL-90-R and Meta-Cognition Questionnaire(MCQ). These results suggest that mental health of college students can be improve by modification of disfunctional meta-cognition and promotion of mindfulness-based self-efficacy.
