The Effect of Montessori s Sense Education Program for Perception Capability of the Development Disabilities

To achieve this purpose, I selected 40 children and divided them into two groups; one for experimental group consists of 20, the other for control group consists of 20 who are 4 or 5 years old in MA attending mental retardation school now. After two weeks pre education to adapt themselves to Montessori s sense education and after applying it to them about three months, I compared the data variables between pre-test and post-test using perception test and using 3 way ANOVA test. I used instruments such as Montessori s sense education program as a experimental instrument and perception development diagnosis test to examine figure-spatial discrimination, the analysis of figures and the comprehension of figures. I could get following results: First, Montessori s sense education program was very effective on figure-spatial discrimination capability of the developmental disabilities. In details, developmental disabilities s the post-test grade was higher than that of pre-test s. But there was not any significant grade difference among sexes, that is. male and female. And the significant difference between ages was higher than that of in 5 compared with in 4. Second, Montessori s sense education program was very effective on the capability of analysis of figures of developmental disabilities. In details, developmental disabilities the post-test grade was higher than that of pre-test s. But there was not any significant grade difference among sexes, that is, male and female. And the significant difference between ages was higher than that of in 5 years compared with in 4 years. The effects of Montessori s sense education program on the analysis of figure ability was significant in 5-year-old children. Third, The effects of Montessori s sense education program on the increasing of comprehension of figures capability of developmental disabilities. In details, developmental disabilities grade of the comprehension of figures capability in the post-test of experimental group children compared with control group children s mean grades. In sex difference, there was no significant difference. In other words, between male and female, there was no difference in the comprehension of figures capability of developmental disabilities. And there was significant difference between age difference. the comprehension of figures capability of developmental disabilities was higher in 5 years than that of 4 years.
