The purpose of study is to investigate the participation and barriers in leisure · activities between emotionally disturbed and normal children. The subjects of this study are 88 children who are emotionally disturbed children(44) and normal children(44) among elementary school students in Deagu. The collected data were analyzed by chi-square, one-way ANOVA with the SPSS progamm. The results of this study are summarized as follows. : First, the emotionally disturbed children spend most of their leisure time on activities of viewing. games, and indoor pleasure but for normal children, most time is spent on sports, tourism and outdoor pleasure activities. Second, social barriers have an influence on the emotionally disturbed children, family and time barriers have an influence on the normal children.
