Kims Frontal-Executive Neuropsychological Test(K-FENT) is the first psychological test in Korea that has been developed to measure the frontal lobe syndrome. The present paper reviews clinical evaluation of the frontal lobe syndrome using K-FENT. The major features of the frontal lobe syndrome are deficits in higher, but not lower cognitive functions and degenerative changes in personality and emotion. K - FENT evaluates the frontal lobe syndrome by way of assessing both cognitive and emotional symptoms; using multiple tests; considering qualitative as well as quantitative aspects of performance; and adopting summary indices such as EIQ(Executive IQ) and AIQ(Adaptive IQ). The case and group studies presented in the present paper suggest that K - FENT is a clinically useful measure of the frontal lobe syndrome.
