에너지 개념을 활용한 골드버그 제작 프로그램이 초등학생의 과제집착력 및 창의적 문제해결력에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Goldberg Machines Program Using Energy Concept on Elementary School Students’ Task Commitment and Creative Problem Solving

본 연구에서는 에너지 개념을 활용한 골드버그 제작 프로그램을 개발하여 초등학생의 과제집착력과 창의적 문제해결력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 6학년 학생 24명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하고 사전․사후 검사 결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 에너지 개념을 활용한 골드버그 제작 프로그램은 초등학생들의 과제집착력 향상에 효과적이었다. 둘째, 에너지 개념을 활용한 골드버그 제작 프로그램은 초등학생들의 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 효과적이었다. 셋째, 에너지 개념을 활용한 골드버그 제작 프로그램에 대한 초등학생의 반응은 매우 긍정적이었다. 학생과의 면담을 분석한 결과, 본 프로그램이 초등학생에게 과학 지식 습득에 유용하며 과학에 대한 흥미와 호기심을 증진하는 등의 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 위와 같이 에너지 개념을 활용한 골드버그 제작 프로그램은 초등학생의 과제집착력을 향상시키는데 효과적이며 창의적 문제해결력 발달에 기여하고, 과학에 대한 인식 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of goldberg machines program using energy concept on the task commitment and creative problem solving ability of elementary school students. For this purpose, 24 elementary school students in the 6th grade were surveyed and the pre - and post - test results were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. First, the goldberg machines program using energy concept was effective in improving elementary school students task commitment. Second, the goldberg machines program using energy concept was effective in enhancing elementary school students creative problem solving ability. Third, the elementary school students response to the goldberg machines program using energy concept was very positive. Analysis of interviews with students revealed that the program had a positive effect on elementary school students, such as being useful in acquiring scientific knowledge and promoting interest and curiosity in science. The goldberg machines program using energy concept as described above was effective in improving elementary school students task commitment, contributing to the development of creative problem solving ability, and positively influencing change in perception of science.
