상세 서지분석을 이용한 에너지 교육 관련 연구 동향 분석

Analysis of Research Trends in Energy Education Using Bibliometrics

이 연구는 에너지 교육과 관련된 국제 연구 동향을 서지분석을 통해 파악하고 이를 통해 국내 에너지 교육에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이에 Clarivate Analytics의 웹 데이터베이스 시스템을 통해 에너지 교육과 관련된 과학교육 분야 연구 논문 107건을 추출하고 해당논문의 상세 서지정보를 토대로 오픈소스 소프트웨어인 R-Studio를 활용해 서지 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 에너지 교육과 관련된 연구는 1980년대 후반과 1990년대 중반 활성화되었다가 감소한 뒤 2000년대 중반 이후 증가하였다. 피인용 횟수가 높은 상위 10개 논문의 경우 평균 인용 횟수가 45회였으며, 연구자 간 네트워크는 크게 2개의 그룹으로 구분되었다. 그러나 키워드를 중심으로 나타낸 주성분 분석 결과, 두 집단의 연구 주제는 서로 구분되지 않았다. 또한 약 30년 이상 연구가 수행된 바 있으나 에너지 교육의 대상과 주제는 주로 중 ․ 고등학생의 에너지 개념 인식에 편중되어 있었다. 에너지 교육의 전문성 및 다양성을 위해서는 초등학생이나 예비교사, 현직교사 등 다양한 대상을 중심으로 한 연구가 수행될 필요가 있으며, 교사교육이나 에너지 교수학습 전략, 모형 개발, 에너지 실천 및 소양 등 에너지 교육 전반에 대한 집중 연구가 수행될 필요가 있음을 알 수 있다.

This study aimed at having an overview of international research trends in energy education through the bibliometric analysis and proposing some implications for implementing energy education. Thus, a total of 107 papers published SSCI-indexed journals were selected from the web database (Web of Science) provided by Clarivate Analytics and the detailed bibliometric information was analyzed by the bibliometrix package in the R-Studio. Research findings showed that studies on energy education were first conducted in the 1980s and then the annual publication was drastically increased since the late 2000s. The average citation of 10 most-cited papers was 45 and co-citation networks showed that the researchers were divided into the two groups whereas their research topics were not distinctive according to the conceptual structure map using keyword and keyword plus. In spite of the 30-year-long history of energy education, most of the studies still remained in surveying students’ conceptual understanding of energy. Thus, this study implicated that diverse studies should be investigated such as dealing with a variety of participants (primary students, pre-/in-service teachers, public) and broadening research topics like teacher education, teaching models, and energy practice/literacy.
