윌리엄 허셜의 적외선의 발견과 특성에 관한 논문들에 기초한 초등과학영재 프로그램 개발

Developing of a Program for Scientifically Gifted Children Based on Herschel’s Papers on Infrared

본 논문에서는 1800년 1월 1일자 Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond.에 게재된 Frederick William Herschel의 적외선에 관한 4편의 시리즈 논문을 기반으로 초등과학영재 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램 구성을 위한 학습모형은 Joseph Renzulli의 삼부심화학습모형을 사용하였다. 삼부심화학습모형의 제1부에서는 적외선의 다양한 응용을 제시하여 학생들이 적외선에 대해 관심을 갖도록 유도하였으며, 제2부에서는 적외선의 발견에 관한 실험과 광학적 특성을 파악하는 실험을 수행하도록 하였다. 제3부에서는 2부에서 획득한 지식과 기법을 바탕으로, 태양관측용 필터를 제작하고, 태양 관측 사진을 찍는 프로젝트를 수행하도록 하였다.

In this paper we develop programs for scientifically gifted children based on Herschel’s series papers on infrared. To construct the programs we use Joseph Renzulli’s enrichment triad model. In type 1 enrichment various applications of infrared are introduced and type 2 enrichment is constructed based on Herschel’s experiments on discovery and optical characteristics of infrared. In type 3 enrichment, we carry out the project making a filter for the observation of the sun by use of a telescope.
