This study conducted individual counseling for daycare directors using food art therapy with the intention to enhance their emotional well-being. For the research, directors of home and daycare centers located in city M, Jeollanam-do were recruited. 15 individual counseling sessions were conducted for each, and qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed. During the qualitative analysis, changes in their cognition, emotion, and behavior were examined, while anxiety and depression were examined in pre and post-tests and subsequent tests for the quantitative analysis. The analysis results are summarized as follows: The participants showed a gradual psychological changes in the cognitive, emotional and behavioral areas by the phase of FAT counseling and session. They showed self-awareness and insight at the phase of “work activity,” challenged and restructured their obstacles from the tenth session, and started to show reduction in the excessive imbalance among cognition, emotion, and behavior. The quantitative analysis also found that their anxiety and depression decreased, with the level of depression significantly decreasing. This tendency was consistent in the subsequent tests.
