A Case Study on the Process-Experiential Therapy Focused on a married couple with problems in emotional recognition and emotional expression

This purpose of this research is to study a case of counseling based on the theory of Process-Experiential Therapy focused on a married couple with problems in emotional recognition and emotional expression. The treatment sessions consisted of 14 sessions and suggested Process-Experiential Therapy and progression steps. The intervention techniques were analyzed by dividing into empathic reflection and empathic affirmation as empathic understanding response, into empathic conjectures, process observation, evocative reflection, exploratory questions as empathic exploratory response, into process suggestions, awareness homework as process guiding response, in detail. This result of this case study present the applicability and effectiveness of the Process-Experiential Therapy in both marriage counseling as well as family counseling.
