부모의 양육태도와 인구사회학적 요인이 중학생의 비행에 미치는 영향

Influences of Parenting Attitudes and Socio-demographic Factors on Adolescent Delinquency in Korea

본 연구는 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도와 인구사회학적 요인이 중학생의 비행에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하는 목적으로 실시되었다. 이 연구를 위해 전국의 아동․청소년을 대상으로 한 한국아동․청소년 패널조사 2010(KCYPS)의 초1 패널데이터 가운데 7차 자료(2016)를 사용하여 중학교 1학년생 총 1,841명의 응답을 분석하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 상관분석, t-검증, 일원변량분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 중학생의 인구사회학적 요인과 비행 간의 관계는 중학생의 성별, 비행친구에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 비행친구가 많은 남학생이 비행을 더 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도가 비행에 미치는 영향에 대한 위계적 회귀분석의 결과 비행친구가 많을수록, 부모의 양육태도 중 부모의 양육태도가 애정적이지 않을수록, 그리고 부모의 과잉간섭이 있을수록, 남학생일수록 비행에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉 비행친구가 많을수록, 부모의 양육태도가 애정적이지 않고 과잉간섭 할수록, 남자 중학생 자녀가 비행에 더 많이 관여된다는 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 비행 고위험군의 중학생과 그 가족에 대한 체계적인 가족개입에 대한 방안을 논의하였다.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of parenting attitudes and sociodemographic factors on adolescent delinquency in Korea. Methods: Research subjects are 1,841 middle school freshmen surveyed using the 7th result of ‘Korea Children & Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2010’, which was conducted in 2016. Results: First, significant correlation is found between the delinquency of middle school students and the factors of their socio-demographic background. Male adolescents having problematic friends are more likely to behave badly. Second, the results of a hierarchical regression analysis show that Korean boys who have a number of delinquent friends and whose parents display unaffectionate and/or overly involved attitudes tend to be engaged in delinquency. Conclusions: Based on the results, discussion is offered on how systematic family intervention should be conducted for adolescents at a high risk for delinquency.
