Mediating Effect between Social Support and Career Exploration Behavior in a Relationship with College Students Internal Control and Career Decision Level

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 내부통제성 사회적 지지와 진로탐색행동 , , 그리고 진로결정수준 사이의 관계를 밝히고 내부통제성과 진로결정수준 사이에서의 사회적 지지와 진로탐색행동의 매개효과를 검증하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 설정한 연구문제는 첫째, 대학생의 내부통제성과 사회적 지지, 진로탐색행동, 그리고 진로결정수준 사이의 관계는 어떠한가? 둘째, 개인의 내부통제성이 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 지지와 진로탐색행동의 매개효과는 어떠한가? 본 연구는 D시에 위치한 3개의 대학교에 재학중인 대학생 336명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 가운데서 무성의하게 응답하거나 미완성된 설문지를 제외한 유효 설문지 301부를 분석 자료로 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 첫째, 변인의 상관관계로는 본 연구에서의 내부통제성, 사회적 지지, 진로탐색행동, 진로결정수준 변인 사이에 모두 매우 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 내부통제성과 진로결정수준 사이에서 사회적 지지는 부분 매개효과를 제공하고 진로탐색행동은 유의한 매개효과를 제공하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship among the college students internal control, social support, career exploration behavior, and career decision level, and to verify the mediating effect on the social support and career exploration behavior between the internal control and career decision level. The research questions established to achieve such research objective are as follows. First, how is the relation between among the college students internal control, social support, career exploration behavior, and career decision level? Second, how is the mediating effect on the social support and career exploration behavior in the effect of personal internal control on the career decision level? This study was to conduct the questionnaire survey as an object of 336 college students who were attending in three universities, located in the D city. Of them all, this study was to utilize 301 effective questionnaires except insincerely responded questionnaires or unfinished questionnaires as analysis data. From the result of this research above, it may be summed up as follows. First, for the correlation of variables, this study has shown that there was very significant positive correlation among the variables like internal control, social support, career exploration behavior, and career decision level. Second, this study has found out that the social support provided partial mediating effect between the college students internal control and career decision level, and that the career exploration behavior did not provide a significant mediating effect.
