직업교육에 따른 노동시장 성과에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰

Systematic Reviews of Labor Market Outcomes for Vocational Education

이 연구에서는 직업교육에 따른 노동시장 성과에 대한 논문들을 체계적으로 고찰하여 그 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 체계적 문헌고찰의 방법론을 활용하여 직업교육에 따른 노동시장 성과를 분석한 국외 문헌 30편과 국내 문헌 8편을 선정하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 노동시장 성과와 관련한 연구의 측정 방법은 대부분 노동시장의 성과를 임금을 활용하여 분석하였고, 고용상태와 실업상태를 분석한 논문도 일부 존재하였다. 직업교육에 따른 임금의 영향을 분석한 결과는 대부분 중등단계 직업교육이 일반교육에 비해 임금에 정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 일부 연구에서는 유의미하지 않거나 반대되는 결과가 나타나기도 하였다. 직업교육과 일반교육의 차이가 고용에 대해서는 대부분 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 거시적인 관점에서 노동시장의 성과를 분석한 결과 대부분 생애 주기에 따라 초기 고용 확률은 직업교육이 높지만 연령이 증가함에 따라 일반교육이 역전하는 현상을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구에서는 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 후속 연구 및 실천적 제언을 제시하였다. 노동시장 성과에 대한 보다 다양한 측정 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하고, 정량적인 문헌고찰 방법을 활용하여 실제 효과 크기에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 또한, 직업교육이 가지는 비용편익 효과에 대한 추가적인 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the labor market performance according to vocational education. For this purpose, 30 foreign documents and 8 domestic documents, which analyzed labor market performance according to education type, were selected and analyzed using the methodology of systematic reviews. As a result of the analysis, most of the measurement methods related to labor market performance were analyzed using wages, and some papers analyzed employment status and unemployment status. As a result of analyzing the effects of wage according to vocational education, most vocational education had a more positive effect on wage than general education, and some studies showed insignificant or opposite results. Most types of education had no significant effect on employment. As a result of analyzing the labor market performance from a macro perspective, the initial employment probability is high in vocational education in most life cycles, but general education reverses with age. Based on these findings, this study suggests follow-up studies and practical suggestions. Research on more diverse measures of labor market performance is needed, and an analysis of the actual effect size using a quantitative literature review is needed. In addition, further research should be conducted on the cost-benefit effects of vocational education.
