정신장애인 당사자운동에 참여한 정신건강사회복지사의 경험에 관한 연구

Study on the Experience Participating in the Right Movements of the Mentally Handicapped

본 연구는 정신장애인의 당사자운동을 활성화 하는데 필요한 기초자료를 모으는데 있다. 이를 위하여 정신장애인 당사자운동에 참여한 6명의 정신건강사회복지사가 과연 어떠한 경험을 하게 되는지 파악하고자 심층면접을 통해 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 질문은 ‘정신건강사회복지사는 정신장애인 당사자운동의 실천과정에서 어떠한 경험을 하는가’이다. 분석결과 당사자운동의 참여경험은 ‘전문가주의에 도전을 받다’, ‘처음 시도하는 2인 3각 경기’, ‘고생의 값어치’, ‘멀리가려면 함께 가라’라는 4개의 핵심범주와 14개의 하위주제가 도출되었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 정신장애인 당사자운동의 활성화를 위한 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to collect the basic data necessary to activate the rights movement of people with the mentally handicapped. For this purpose, we analyzed the six mental health social workers who participated in the rights movement of people with the mentally handicapped with phenomenological research methods through in-depth interviews. As a result, the participation experience of the rights movement resulted in four core categories and 16 sub-topics: ‘to be challenged by expertism’, ‘three-legged race games for the first time’, ‘value of hardship’, ‘go together to go far’. Based on the research results, this study suggested practical methods for the activation of the rights movement of people with the mentally handicapped.
