특수학교로의 전학 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구 -전남지역 지적장애 학생을 중심으로-

Phenomenological study on the transfer experience to special school -Focused on students with intellectual disabilities in Jeonnam area-

본 연구는 지적장애 학생의 특수학교로의 전학 경험을 당사자의 관점에서 이해하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 일반학교에서 특수학교로 전학 간 6명의 지적장애 학생을 대상으로 2019년 3월부터 2020년 1월까지 심층면접을 통하여 자료 수집을 하였으며, 연구방법은 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 활용하였다. 6명의 연구 참여자에게서 나타난 의미 있는 진술들은 일반학교에서의 경험과 특수학교로 전학 간 이후의 경험으로 나누어 표현되었다. 분석결과, 일반학교에서의 경험은 ‘참아내는 것’, ‘존재의 부재’, ‘꿈보다 해몽’, 특수학교에서의 경험은 ‘세잎클로버’와 ‘작은 날개짓’이라는 5가지 주제로 범주화하여 결론과 논의를 전개하였다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the students’ experiences of transferring to special schools from the perspective of the parties. For this purpose, six intellectually handicapped students who transferred from general school to special school were collected through in-depth interviews from March 2019 to January 2020. The research method used Giorgi’s phenomenological research method. Significant statements from six study participants were expressed in terms of general school experience and subsequent transfer to special school. As a result of the analysis, the experience in the general school was categorized into five themes: ‘Trying to endure’, ‘absence of existence’, ‘interpretation rather than dream’, and special school experience was ‘Three Leaf Clover’ and ‘Small Wings’.
