노인성난청의 보청기 사용 및 청능훈련의 필요성에 관한 실태조사

The Study on the Use of Hearing Aids and the Need of the Aural Rehabilitation Program for the Presbycusis

본 연구는 노인성난청 대상으로 보청기 사용 및 청능훈련의 필요성에 관한 실태조사를 통하여 청능재활 프로그램 개발에 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 서울, 경기도, 충청도, 경상도, 강원도에 거주하고, 난청 어려움을 겪고 있는 60세 이상 노인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 문제에 따라 통계 처리한 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보청기를 착용한 노인이 보청기를 미착용한 노인에 비하여 보청기에 대한 인식이 높고, 청력손실 정도가 중도 이상인 노인이 보청기에 대한 인식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보청기 착용 유무와 청력손실 정도에 따른 청능훈련 필요성 인식에 관한 실태는 보청기를 착용한 노인이 보청기 사용에 대한 인식이 높고, 중도 이상에 해당하는 노인이 보청기를 미착용한 노인보다 청능훈련에 대한 인식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보청기를 착용한 노인의 보청기 사용과 청능훈련 간의 필요성은 서로 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 후속연구에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic information for the development of aural rehabilitation programs through surveys on the use of hearing aids and the need of auditory training for the presbycusis. A questionnaire survey was conducted for the presbycusis over 60 who live in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Gyeongsang-do, and Gangwon-do and have difficulty hearing loss. The results of the statistically processed research according to the research problem are summarized as follows. First, the senior citizen with hearing aid showed the higher perception on the hearing aide that the senior citizen without hearing aid. The result shows that the senior citizen with the hearing loss over medium level and with the use of hearing aid presented the high satisfaction on the effective sue of hearing aid. Second, in the perception on the need of auditory training program according to the experience of hearing aid and the level of hearing loss, the senior citizen with hearing aid showed higher perception in the use of hearing aid, and the senior citizen with the hearing loss over medium level showed high perception in the auditory training than the citizen without using hearing aid. Third, in the correlation between the use of hearing aid in the senior citizen with the hearing aid and the need of auditory training, the meaningful relationship was appeared. From the result, it expects that the senior citizen with hearing loss may restore positive confidence through the systematic auditory training. Based on these results, the discussion and the implication for the further study were suggested.
