사회인지적 진로집단상담이 공과대학 여학생의 지각된 진로장벽과 진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Social Cognitive Career Group Counseling on the Perceived Career Barriers and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy of Female Engineering Students

남성 중심적인 공과대학에서 상대적으로 소수인 여학생들은 적응과 진로, 취업과 관련해 어려움을 갖고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제의 해결을 돕기 위해 사회인지진로이론을 바탕으로 한 진로집단상담이 공과대학 여학생의 지각된 진로장벽과 진로결정자기효능감에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상으로는 B시에 소재한 2개 대학의 공과대학 여학생 22명이 참여하였으며, 실험집단에 12명, 통제집단에 10명의 학생들이 배치되었다. 예비연구를 거쳐 총 10회기의 사회인지적 진로집단상담을 구성하여 실험집단에 실시하였으며, 그 결과를 통제집단과 비교하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로집단상담에 참여했던 집단은 참여하지 않은 집단보다 지각된 진로장벽이 유의미하게 낮아졌다. 둘째, 진로집단상담에 참여했던 집단은 참여하지 않은 집단보다 진로결정 자기효능감이 유의미하게 향상되었다. 이러한 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 공대 여학생의 진로교육 및 진로상담에의 시사점과 후속 연구를 위한 제안점을 논의하였다.

This study examined the effects of the career group counseling based on social cognitive career theory on perceived career barriers and career decision-making self-efficacy of female students from male-dominated engineering college. In this study, the preliminary study was conducted and then the career group counseling offered 10 times was reconstructed. 22 female engineering students were collected from two national university located in B city, and then 12 students were assigned as experimental group and others were control group. Pre- and post-test were conducted to assess level of perceived career barriers and career decision-making self-efficacy before and after the group counseling. The career group counseling was given to the experimental group. Results of the study were as follows. First, the group who participated in the career group counseling got significantly lower score in perceived career barriers than the other group who didn``t. Second, the group who participated in the career group counseling obtained significantly higher score in career decision-making self-efficacy than the other group who didn``t. Discussions and suggestions based on the results are provided.
