열린고용 관점에서 초등학교 실과 교과서의 일-직업 관련 내용 분석

An Analysis of the Work-Occupation Contents from Open-Employment Perspective in the Practical Arts Textbooks

이 연구는 2007 개정 교육과정에 따른 실과 5, 6학년 교과서 14종의 일-직업 내용이 어떻게 기술되어 있는지를 열린고용 관점에서 개방성 정도에 따라 정성적, 정량적으로 분석하였다· 즉, 초등 실과 교과서에 진술된 내용이 일-직업에 대해 성적, 사회적 편견 등 어떤 고정관념에 대한 어떤 입장을 취하고 있는지를 분석함으로써 향후 학생들로 하여금 모든 일과 직업은 소중하다는 것을 인식하고, 성별, 사회적 고정관념에 얽매이지 않고 자신의 진로를 선택할 수 있는 교과서 개발 및 교수·학습에 있어서 개선 방안을 도출하기 위한 것이 연구의 목적이다· 이를 위해 일-직업 내용을 열린고용 관점 요소와 관련된 자료 형태별로 분석하고, 관련 내용을 심층적으로 파악하기 위하여 열린고용 관점 요소[성별, 학력, 기타(신체, 출신지역 등)별 개방성 정도 즉, 높음, 중간, 낮음의 내용으로 나누어 정성적으로 분석하여 그 사례를 제시하고, 정량적으로 수치화하여 개방성 경향을 분석하였다· 연구 결과 초등학교 실과 5, 6학년 교과서의 일-직업 내용 중 ‘성별’ 요소의 경우는 개방성 정도가 ‘높음’과 ‘낮음’인 내용은 유사한 정도로, ‘학력’ 요소의 경우는 개방성 정도가 ‘높음’인 내용보다는 ‘낮음’인 내용이 다소 많은 것으로 나타났다· 따라서 향후 교과서 개발 과정에서 열린고용 관점(성별, 학력, 기타 등) 측면에서 개방성이 높은 자료를 개발하고 활용도록 권장함으로써 학생들로 하여금 모든 직업을 소중하게 생각하며 자신의 적성과 흥미를 고려하여 진로를 탐색할 수 있는 교과서 개발 및 진로 교육과 관련된 정책 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다·

In this study, we investigated that how the 7 kinds of 5th and 6th grade Practical Arts textbooks according to the 2007 revised of the curriculum were described in terms of the open employment, and analyzed the contents qualitatively and quantitatively. In this study, we want to grasp the actual conditions from how viewpoint those textbooks was described related to the unfair hiring practice(scholarship, sex, physical condition, regional backgrounds, etc.) when some people who are entering the labor market show their ability. The analysis criteria was established through the investigation of several leading research about the analysis of textbooks, and with this analysis criteria, the contents related to the work-occupation in textbooks were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively by the forms of data and from the viewpoint on the open employment(scholarship, sex, physical condition, regional backgrounds, etc.). Especially, the contents from the viewpoint on the open employment were analyzed qualitatively, and we presented some examples of those with the affirmative, negative, and neutral contents to take more in-depth look at the textbook contents. If we supplement textbooks later as reflecting these analyzed results positively, we can expect that the quality of textbooks can be increased, and the understanding of educational members about the contents related to the work-occupation and open employment in Practical Arts textbooks can be improved more than now.
