An Analysis of Evaluation Criteria of College Curriculum

이 연구는 전문대학 교육과정 평가의 준거 분석을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구는 첫째, 교육과정 평가의 개념 및 영역과 전문대학 교육과정 평가의 동향을 검토하고, 둘째, 4개 전문대학의 교육과정 평가 준거와 고등직업교육평가인증원의 교육과정 관련 평가 기준을 비교, 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 교육과정의 범위 규정에 있어서 분석 대상 대학과 인증원 평가기준 간 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 분석 대상 대학과 인증원은 ‘상황평가’의 준거 제시에 초점을 두었다. 셋째, 분석 대상 대학과 인증원은 교육과정의 목표와 교과목별 학습목표의 일관성 제시에 초점을 두었다. 넷째, 목표와 평가와의 일관성은 일부 대학과 인증원의 준거에서만 제시되었다. 다섯째, 교육목표 설정과 관련하여 대학들은 목표 도출 과정을 중시하고, 인증원은 목표 제시 여부만을 기준으로 제시하였다. 여섯째, 일부 대학과 인증원은 평가 결과가 개선에 활용될 것을 강조하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로, 향후 이루어질 전문대학의 교육과정 평가에 주는 시사점을 다음과 같이 도출하였다. 첫째, 교육과정 평가에서 졸업생 역량을 중심으로 교육과정의 의미를 폭넓게 파악할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교육과정 평가에서 역량을 중심으로 교육목표와 평가와의 일관성이 강조되어야 한다. 셋째, 교육과정 평가에서 대학의 자체평가와 외부 기관의 인증평가는 교육과정의 개선 및 변화를 위해 상호보완적으로 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 교육과정 평가는 지속적으로 교육과정의 질을 관리하고 질 높은 교육과정을 위해 개선을 이끄는 것이어야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the evaluation criteria of college curriculum. To fulfil the purpose, first, this study reviewed the domain and trend of curriculum evaluation, second, it analyzed the curriculum evaluation criteria of 4 colleges(A, B, C, D college) and KAVE(Korea Accreditation Board for Vocational Education) accreditation criteria relating curriculum domain, third, it drew implications for better evaluating college curriculum. As a result, first, Each of 4 colleges and KAVE had different views about the domain of evaluation, second, 4 colleges and KAVE highlighted to present criteria in relation to ‘context evaluation’, third, all of them focused the connection between curriculum objectives and subjects objectives in criteria, fourth, ‘A college’, ‘D college’ and KAVE stressed the connection between objectives and students evaluation processes in criteria, fifth, all of 4 colleges empathized drawing processes of objectives, while KAVE evaluated whether or not college had objectives in curriculum implementation in general. sixth, ‘B college’ and KAVE put emphasis on reflection of evaluation results for curriculum improvement. Evaluation of college curriculum have to lead colleges to review their own curriculum and to develop quality curriculum.
