Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify subjectivity on the multicultural acceptance of adults using Q-methodology. Methods: The 28 selected Q-statements from each of 23 participants were classified into the shape of normal distribution using a 7-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using the pc-QUANL program by performing principle component analysis. Results: The factor analyses revealed subjectivity that together for 57.9% of variance: Type 1 (30.1%), Type 2 (19.9%), and Type 3 (7.9%). The results revealed four types of adults subjectivity toward multicultural acceptance: Type Ⅰ is Open empathy, type Ⅱ is Unilateral assimilation, type Ⅲ is Two-faced mix, and type Ⅳ is Bilateral assimilation. Conclusions: This findings can be used as a basic data for the design of a differentiated multicultural education according to each type of acceptance. This calls for diverse research on multicultural society and the implementation of effective multicultural acceptance education.
