특성화고 화공계열분야 변화 요인과 활성화 방안에 대한 교사의 인식 분석

Analysis of Teacher`s Perception for Changing Factors and Development Strategies of Chemical Engineering Field in Specialized Vocational High School

이 연구의 목적은 특성화고 화공계열분야의 현황과 변화되는 문제점이 무엇인지 알아보고, 이를 극복하여 개선해나가기 위한 교사들의 요구도와 우선순위를 분석하여 교육과정 개선 등의 활성화 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 특성화고 화공계열분야는 화공계열의 전통적인 학과명에서 점차 학과명이 세분화 다양화되어 가고 있으며,공업계열 타 전공에 비하여 연도별 감소율이 다소 큰 편으로 이에 대응할 이해당사자들의 개선 노력이 필요한실정이다. 화공계열 교사들이 인식하는 특성화고 화공계열분야의 활성화 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업기초능력 교육과정이 강화되어야 하고, 학생들의 수준과 이해 정도를 고려한 내용 선정과 교수학습 활동을 전개해야 한다. 둘째, 교사 지원은 수업 외 업무를 담당하는 보조 인원을 확충하여 교육의 질을 결정하는 교사가 수업에 필요한 시간을 확보함으로써 수업의 질적 제고를 기대할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 산업체와의 연계를 통한 첨단 기자재 확보 및 유지·관리 노력이 필요하며, 첨단 기자재의 활용성을 높이기 위하여 동일계열 대상의 공동 실습소 입소 교육 등의 유지·관리 프로그램이 개발·운영되어야 한다. 넷째, 우수 학생을 유치하기 위한 방송과 언론 홍보, 찾아가는 입학 설명회, 졸업 작품 전시회 등 적극적인 홍보 전략이 필요하다. 다섯째, 화공 관련 산업체 요구와 교육과정의 괴리감을 최소화하기 위해서 산업체, 지자체와 컨소시엄 구성을 통한 공동 인력 양성 프로그램(협약학과, 맞춤식 교육)과 취업약정제 등 실제적인 산업체 연계제도 마련이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a way to invigorate the chemical engineering field the in specialized vocational high school by analyzing the perception and needs of teachers. Chemical engineering department in specialized vocational high school tends to be gradually subdivided and diversified. The number of applicants for chemical engineering department in specialized vocational high school is decreasing year after year. The suggestions which based on survey of teacher`s needs to improve the current state of chemical engineering field in specialized vocational high school are as follows. First, the curriculum aimed to enhance key competence should be reinforced. The curriculum and teaching-leaning activities, which are taking into the account the understanding level of students, should be provided. Second, teaching assistants should be recruited so that the teachers of chemical engineering department in specialized vocational high school can concentrate on teaching students which leads to improvement in quality of education. Third, the cooperation between specialized vocational high schools and enterprises is required to secure and maintain the high-tech experimental equipments of chemical engineering field. The programs for training the students of chemical engineering department in specialized vocational high school should be also developed to increase the availability of the high-tech equipments. Fourth, public relations to attract new competent students in chemical engineering field of specialized vocational high school are important. Fifth, in order to minimize the gap between the curriculum of specialized vocational high school and the requirement of chemical engineering industries, industrial-educational cooperation system such as joint human resource cultivation programs (tailor made education) and employment contract system should be prepared.
