이 연구에서는 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 1～6차년도(2004년～2009년)까지의 시계열 자료를 활용하여 전문대학생의 중·고등학교 시기 진학·전공 결정 변화 양상을 탐색하고, 이를 토대로 관련 변인과의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 중3～고3 시기마다 측정된 대학 진학 계획의 변화 양상을 대학미진학, 대학진학 & 전공미선택, 대학진학 & 전공선택의 세 가지 범주로 구분하여 유형화하고, 이러한 유형에 영향을 미치는 개인특성 변인(진로인식 수준, 자아관, 자기효능감 및 고교계열)과의 관계를 확인하였다. 위와 같은 연구목적을 토대로 다음과 같은 연구결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 전문대학생의 중·고등학교 시기 진학·전공 결정 변화 양상은 크게 ``결정전환형``, ``결정유지형``, ``고3시기결정형``, ``고교입학후 결정형``의 4가지 유형으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 다항로짓모형 분석 결과, 진학·전공 결정 변화 유형과 자아관, 고교계열 및 고교 졸업후 계획 등의 변수들에서 유의미한 영향관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히고교계열의 경우 일반계고보다는 특성화고 출신 학생들이 ``결정전환형``에 속할 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 의사결정나무 분석을 통해 진학·전공 결정 변화 양상을 가장 효율적으로 예측하는 변인을 도출한 결과, 고교계열이 가장 영향력이 높은 변인으로 나타났다.
Referencing data from the first six year of the Korea Education and Employment Panel (KEEP), this study seeks to identify and describe patterns of educational career plans during secondary education and to analyze relationship between these patterns and related individual variables (level of career awareness, self-image, self-efficacy, academic course of high school) of junior college students, The result of this study are as follows. Firstly, patterns of educational career plans are dived into 4 groups. Group 1, students who were undecided about going to college but changed their mind at specific times, Group 2, students who made major selection steadily, Group 3, students who decided their educational career plans at grade 3 of high school, Group 4, student who decided their educational career plans after entering high school. Secondly, a multinominal logit analysis suggests that self-image, academic course of high school and career plan after graduating high school have effects on patterns of educational career plans. Thirdly, a decision-making tree analysis reveals that academic course of high school is predicting most effectively the patterns of educational career plans.
