지역사회 기반 중학생 직업체험 프로그램 개발

The Development of Community-based Work Experience Program for Youth

최근 진로교육이 강조되면서, 구체적인 실행 방안 중 하나로 직업체험이 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 직업체험은 그 특성상 학교만의 힘으로 운영하기에는 한계가 많다. 이와 관련하여 이 연구는 청소년 직업체험의 효율적 실행을 위해 학교, 지역사회기관, 지역사회 일터 등이 협력하여 운영할 수 있는 직업체험 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발된 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 지역사회 기반 직업체험 모형과 프로그램을 개발하여 서울시 노원구를 시범지역으로 하여 지역사회 기관을 연계하고, 직업체험 사업장을 발굴하여 프로그램을 운영하여 효과를 검증하였다. 본 프로그램은 진로탐색 지원, 경험학습 원리의 적용, 직업흥미와 교육적 개입의 균형, 학습자 능동성 제고를 위한 소규모 운영, 지역사회 기반이라는 방향성 하에 중학생이 일터 현장에서 직접 3일간 업무를 도우며 체험하는 내용으로 구성하였다. 본 프로그램에 대한 평가는 만족도 조사와 진로성숙도 사전-사후 검사로 이루어졌다. 참여자들의 만족도는 전반적으로 높았으며, 진로성숙도 중 계획성과 진로행동에서 유의미한 변화를 나타내었다. 청소년 직업체험 활성화를 위해서는 프로그램 설계와 운영 면에서는 무형식 학습에 대한 세밀한 설계가 필요하며, 운영 인프라 구축을 위해서는 지역 직업체험 센터구축, 지역사회 협의회 구성, 지자체의 적극적 역할 수행이 필요하다는 점을 제안하였다.

Work experience program is one of the most important programs which help youth`s career exploration. However we can hardly find work experience programs in Korea because it is not easy to connect schools and the workplace to provide work experience programs. So, the existing work experience programs are limited in the area of indirect experiences such as lectures by professionals, watching videos for job information. The purpose of this study is to develop a work experience program which helps youth to experience the ``real`` work world. We developed a work experience program with the following characteristics; 1) supporting career explorations, 2) adopting experiential learning principles, 3) the balance between one`s interest and educational invention, 4) 2～3 students for a workplace, 5) community-based. After developing the program which includes preparations, 3 days experience in the workplace and presentations on one`s experience, we implemented the preliminary program and conducted the evaluation. The evaluation results show that the program is effective for youths` career explorations.
