전문대학생의 개인, 교육기관, 사회적 변인과 중도탈락의도의 위계적 관계

The Hierarchical Relationship between Individual, College, Social Variable, and Dropout Intention of College Students

본 연구는 개인, 교육기관, 사회적 변인이 전문대학생의 중도탈락의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문대학생의 인구통계학적 배경변인에 따라 중도탈락의도에 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 개인, 교육기관, 사회적 변인이 위계적으로 전문대학생의 중도탈락의도에 미치는 영향을 어떠한가? 그리고 편의표집법을 활용해 3개교의 전문대학을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 수집된 482부를 SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 통해 요인분석과 신뢰도분석, 빈도분석과 기술통계분석, 교차분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 설정한 연구문제를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문대학생의 인구통계학적 배경변인에 따른 중도탈락의도의 차이를 검증한 결과 학년에 따른 중도탈락의도의 차이가 통계적으로 유의했다. 둘째, 개인수준, 교육기관수준, 사회적수준 변인을 위계적으로 투입한 결과 개인수준변인 중 흥미변인, 교육기관수준 변인 중 교육기관 학문적 변인, 사회적수준 변인 중 사회적 환경변인과 사회적 인식변인이 전문대학생의 중도탈락의도에 유의수준 p<.001 수준에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 전문대학생의 흥미를 높이는 교육서비스를 제공하고, 전문대학은 학문적 교육서비스 향상에 노력해야 하며, 사회적으로 전문대학생에 대한 인식전환이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between individual, college, social variable and Dropout intention of college students. The study examined (1)how much individual, college, and social level variables had effects on college students` dropout intention and (2) how much college level educational service had effects on college students` employability. The study collected student level data from 3 colleges through convenience sampling method. For cross analysis and multi-level analysis, SPSS 17.0 was used. Findings indicated that among demographic variables, grade had significant effects on college students` dropout intention. And interest variable, college`s academic variable, social environmental variable and social perception variable had significant effects on college students` dropout intention. These findings suggested that colleges have to enhance student`s interests and academic educational service. And our society must make efforts to have positive perception toward college students compared with university students.
