특목고 및 자율고 학생의 입학유형과 가정형편 및 자아개념에 따른 진로성숙도 차이

Difference of Career Maturity of the Special Purpose Highschool Students and Self Regulatory Highschool Students according to Admission Types, Household Economical Status, and Self-concept

본 연구는 특수목적고등학교와 자율고등학교 학생들의 입학유형과 가정형편 및 자아개념에 따른 진로성숙의 차이를 검증하기 위한 목적으로 전국에 소재한 자율고 827명, 과학고 535명, 외고 1,042명, 국제고 90명의 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사한 자료를 일원변량분석 및 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 자료 분석 결과, 최근 입시 전형에 도입된 사회적 배려 대상자 전형을 포함한 일반전형, 기타 전형 등 입학 유형에 따른 진로성숙도의 차이는 확인되지 않았다. 반면, 학생들이 인식하는 가정형편 수준에 따라서는 진로성숙에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 진로성숙에 대한 자아개념의 영향력을 확인하기 위한 회귀분석에서는 진로성숙 총 변화량의 약 23%가 자아개념에 의해 설명되는 것으로 분석되어 자아개념은 유의수준 .000에서 진로성숙에 영향을 주는 것으로 판단되었다. 이러한 결과에 따라 사회적 배려 대상 전형으로 입학한 학생들에 대한 기존의 고정관념이나 편견이 작용하지 않도록 학교 및 교사 차원의 접근에 주의가 요구된다는 점과, 가정형편에 대한 인식이 합리적인 판단에 근거할 수 있도록 개입하는 노력 및 학생들의 자아개념을 긍정적인 방향으로 형성하도록 조력하는 방안이 예방적 차원에서 체계적으로 이루어져야 할 필요성이 제안되었다. 끝으로, 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제안 등이 논의되었다.

The purpose of this study was to verify the difference of career maturity of the special purpose highschool students and self regulatory highschool students according to admission types, household economical status, and self-concept. To reach the goal, survey questionnaires were handed out to 827 self-regulatory high school students, 535 science high school students, 1,042 foreign language highschool students, and 90 international highschool students. The data were analyzed through ANOVA and regression analysis. According to the analysis, significant difference was not found between admission types. However, household economic status which each individual perceives did affect to the career maturity levels. Also, at the regression analysis that was executed to verity the influence of self-concept on the career maturity, 23% of career maturity`s total variation was explained. Careful approaches in terms of school policies and teachers` educational interventions onto the students who admitted through the social-caring admission type were proposed based on the study results. Additionally, several suggestions such as how to support students to let them give rational judgements on their household economical status, and approaches which build students` positive self concepts in preventive perspective were suggested. Finally, the significance of the study, limitations, and suggestions for future studies were debated.
