본 연구의 목적은 전문계 고등학생이 지각하는 부모-자녀 관계와 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로성숙도의 관계를 분석하여 자녀의 진로발달에 효과적으로 작용하는 부모-자녀관계 유형을 밝히는데 있다. 연구대상은 경기도와 강원도의 전문계 고등학교 5곳에서 표집한 남녀 고등학생 600명이었으며 사용한 측정도구는 한국형 부모-자녀관계 척도, 진로결정자기효능감 검사, 진로성숙태도 검사였다. 전문계 고등학생의 진로결정자기효능감은 직업정보수집, 목표설정, 자기평가요인에서 3학년이 2학년보다 높게 나타났으며 진로성숙도는 결정성, 확신성, 준비성 요인에서 3학년이 2학년보다 높았다. 그리고 진로결정자기효능감의 목표설정과 진로성숙도의 준비성 요인에서 3학년이 1학년보다 높은 수준을 보였다. 진로성숙도와 진로결정자기효능감에 대한 부모-자녀관계의 효과를 분석한 결과, 부보다는 모의 설명효과가 상대적으로 더 컸다. 진로성숙도에 대하여 아버지의 경우에는 친밀요인은 부적관련성을 엄격요인은 정적 관련성을 보였고, 어머니의 경우에는 헌신과 존경요인이 정적 관련성을 보였다. 진로결정자기효능감에 대해서는 아버지의 경우 엄격요인이 부적 관련성을 보였으며, 어머니의 경우에는 친밀요인과 헌신요인이 정적 관련성을 보였다. 이 결과들이 자녀의 진로지도와 부모교육프로그램에 시사하는 바가 논의되었다.
The purposes of this study were to examine relationships of parent-child relations perceived by vocational high school students, their career decision making self-efficacy, and their career maturity. The subjects were 600 boys and girls sampled from five vocational high schools in Gyeonggi and Gangwon province. The scales used in the study include the Korean version of Parent-Child Relationship Instrument, the Inventory of Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy, and the Inventory of Career Maturity. The seniors showed higher career decision making self-efficacy in terms of collection of job information, goal setting, and self-evaluation than the juniors and higher career maturity in terms of decisiveness, conviction, and preparation than the juniors. And the seniors showed higher levels in goal setting of career decision making self-efficacy and preparation of career maturity than the freshmen. Mother-child relations were more powerful than father-child relations in explaining the variance of career maturity and career decision making self-efficacy. In contrast, students showed higher levels of career maturity when they perceived father more strict and less intimate, and mother more devotional and admirable. Their career decision making self-efficacy was higher when they perceived father less strict, and mother more intimate and devotional. All these findings were discussed for desirable parents` child rearing attitudes and programs of education for parents.
