기술과 교육은 일과 학문 세계와 직접적인 관련이 있기 때문에 진로와 관련된 교육내용을 지속적으로 포함하여 왔음에도 불구하고 진로교육이 어떻게 이루어져왔는지, 또한 어떤 문제점이 있는지에 대한 구체적인 분석이 이루어지지 않아 기술과 교육을 통한 보다 체계적인 진로교육을 할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 한계가 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 중학교 기술교과 교육과정에 포함되어 있는 진로와 관련 있는 교육 내용을 분석하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구 절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로교육 이론과 기술과 교육의 특성을 토대로 중학교 기술과 교육에서 진로교육의 접근 방법을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 중학교 기술교과에 포함되어야 할 진로교육의 내용을 구명할 분석 준거를 개발하였다. 셋째, 중학교 기술교과 교육과정에 포함되어 있는 진로교육 내용을 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 기술교육에서 진로교육의 방향을 모색하고, 진로교육 프로그램을 만드는데 있어 기초자료를 제공하는데 도움을 줄 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze educational contents related to the middle school technology education. Is career education performed appropriately and how should career education perform in the middle school technology education? This is main research question in this study. The purpose of this study was achieved by the method of the literature analysis and the contents analysis. This study examined approach methods of career education in middle school technology education according to properties of technology education and theory of career education. To perform this study, an analysis instrument was developed. This study was analyzed attributes, goals, educational contents of technology education curriculum related to the educational contents of career education.
