기업의 환경변화로 인해 직무 역할 및 범위가 확대되고 인적자원개발이 기업 생존을 위한 중요 이슈가 된 오늘, 일반 조직 구성원들과 마찬가지로 비서직종사자들도 업무수행의 질을 향상시키고 경쟁력을 유지해나가기 위해서는 계속교육을 통하여 자신의 역량개발에 적극적인 자세로 임하지 않으면 안 되게 되었다. 특히 정보관리분야 계속교육의 필요성은 그 어느 때보다 높으나 아직까지 전문비서들을 위해 제공되는 일반 사회 교육기관의 프로그램들이나 기업 내에서 개발 운영되는 교육 프로그램이 제대로 활성화되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 그 원인에는 진부한 교육 프로그램 내용과 형식 그리고 비서직의 업무 특성상의 제약 등이 있으며, 이에 본 연구는 교육 수요자인 비서들의 정보계속교육 참여의지에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들을 파악하기위한 목적으로 출발하였다. 심리적 요인인 유용성, 자기효능감, 그리고 조직몰입과 환경적 요인인 자원, 활용도, 그리고 승진기회들을 본 연구의 변수로 삼아 실증분석을 수행하였다. 비서들이 인지하는 정보교육 프로그램 내용의 유용함, 비서 자신이 몸담고 있는 조직의 목표에 동의 협력하며 조직에 대한 애착과 호의적인 태도 및 기업조직에 대한 친밀감, 비서들이 자기계발을 위해 투자할 수 있는 시간적 금전적 자원, 그리고 인적자원개발 및 이탈 방지 차원뿐 아니라 자기계발의 영향요인인 승진의 기회가 계속교육 참여의지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과인 비서들의 정보교육 참여의지 영향요인 규명은 기업의 효율적인 인적자원개발 및 활용, 비서 개인의 정보관리 역량 제고 방안을 도출, 그리고 교육프로그램 개발자를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다는 데 그 의의가 있다.
It is becoming more essential than ever for office professionals to perform as Information Specialists who are competent in information processing through fast response to the stimuli and needs coming from the current global business society which is controlled by the speed of improvement of information technology. Office professionals success in career management depends on the level of computer competency which represents the ability to utilize computer and information technology effectively for problem solving in a business environment. Such change of core competency required in the workplace and corporate s effort for human resource development and business success drive the increased emphasis placed on continuing education for employees. However, there has been little attempt to understand why only few office professionals participate in continuing education programs and the source of the problem. The main purpose of this study is to investigate what factors influence office professionals participation willingness in continuing education for computer and information management. Statistical analysis has been conducted and found that two psychological factors (usefulness and organizational commitment) and two environmental factors (resources and promotion opportunity) were the main factors for the influence.
