발달장애인 자조모임 통합적 지원(예산ㆍ행정, 교육)에 대한 탐색적 연구

An Exploratory Study on Integrated Support (budgetㆍadministration, education) Self-help Group of People with Developmental Disabilities

본 연구는 발달장애인 자조모임 통합적 지원(예산·행정, 교육)이 발달장애인 자조모임과 당사자에게 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 자조모임을 통해 발달장애인이 주체성을 갖고 지역사회 안에서 살아가는 장으로 활용될 수 있는 지원방안을 마련하고자 수행되었다. 의도적 표집추출을 통해 A법인이 수행하는 지원사업에 참여한 7개 자조모임의 발달장애인 당사자를 대상으로 개별심층면접을 진행하였다. 연구참여자는 발달장애인 당사자 8명이었다. 주제분석 방법을 통한 분석결과, ‘돈에 대한 압박으로부터 해방’, ‘지원기관 의존에서 벗어난 성장’, ‘진정한 발달장애인 리더의 탄생’, ‘낯설지만 나와 같은 사람들과의 소통’으로 상위범주 4개와 하위범주 8개가 도출되었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 발달장애인 자조모임에 대한 예산·행정, 교육에 대한 통합적 지원이 지속되어야 함을 제언하였다.

This study aimed to explore the effects of integrated support on a self-help group of people with developmental disabilities. In-depth interviews were conducted with 8 individuals with developmental disabilities. The results were categorized into 4 themes with relevant 8 sub-themes. The themes were: ‘being free from pressure of money’, ‘growth out of dependence on support organization’, ‘emergence as a true leader of people with developmental disabilities’, ‘unfamiliar yet communicating with people like me ’. Based on results of this study, a need to integrate(budgetㆍadministration, education) and continuing support for self-help groups of people with developmental disabilities is discussed.
