스마트기기를 활용한 기후변화교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 기후변화에 대한 지식, 인식 및 태도에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Climate Change Education Program using Smart Devices on Elementary School Students Knowledge, Perception and Attitude about Climate Change

본 연구에서는 스마트기기를 활용한 기후변화교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 초등학생들의 기후변화에 대한 지식, 인식 및 태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 B광역시의 초등학교 6학년 학생 21명을 대상으로 기후변화교육 프로그램을 적용하고, 기후변화에 대한 지식․인식과 태도의 변화에 관한 사전․사후 설문조사 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트기기를 활용한 기후변화교육 프로그램은 초등학생들의 기후변화에 대한 인식과 태도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 스마트기기를 활용한 기후변화교육 프로그램은 초등학생들의 기후변화에 대한 지식 향상에 유의미한 효과가 없었다. 셋째, 스마트기기를 활용한 기후변화교육 프로그램에 대해 초등학생들은 높은 흥미를 보였고, 진행된 수업에 대해 만족감을 나타냈다. 이를 토대로 스마트기기를 활용한 기후변화교육 프로그램은 초등학생들을 위한 효과적인 기후변화교육 방법이라고 판단된다.

In this study, we developed a climate change education program using smart devices and tried to find out how it affects elementary school students’ knowledge, perceptions and attitudes about climate change. The method of this study was to apply the climate change education program using smart devices to 21 students in the sixth grade of elementary school in Busan and to analyze the results of the pre- and post-survey on the change of knowledge, perception and attitude about climate change. The results were as follows. First, the climate change education program using smart devices had a positive effect on improving perceptions and attitude of elementary school students on climate change. Second, the climate change education program using smart devices had no significant effect on improving knowledge about elementary school students’ climate change. Based on this, it is judged that the climate change education program using smart devices is an effective method for climate change education for elementary school students.
