2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 통합과학 교과서에 포함된 SDGs 세부 목표 분석 - ‘Ⅳ. 환경과 에너지’ 단원을 중심으로 -

Analysis of SDGs Goals in Integrated Science Textbook of High School according to 2015 Revised Curriculum - Focused on ‘Ⅳ. Environment and Energy’ -

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 ｢통합과학｣ 교과서에 포함된 지속가능개발목표(Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs)를 분석하여 향후 지속가능발전교육(Education for Sustainable Development: ESD) 내용을 포함한 교육과정 및 교과서를 개발할 때 유용한 시사점을 주는 데 그 목적이 있다. UN은 2000년∼2015년에 시행되었던 밀레니엄 개발목표(Millennium Development Goals: MDGs)를 마무리하며, 2016년∼2030년에 시행할 SDGs를 발표하였는데, 이는 앞으로 중등학교에서 ESD를 적용하는데 핵심목표가 될 수 있다. SDGs에는 ‘빈곤퇴치’, ‘기아 종식’, ‘건강과 웰빙’, ‘양질의 교육’, ‘성 평등’, ‘깨끗한 물과 위생’, ‘모두를 위한 깨끗한 에너지’ 등 17개의 공동 목표가 설정되어 있으며, 이 17개의 공동목표에는 각각 1개에서 10개의 세부목표가 포함되어 전체적으로는 총 169개의 SDGs 세부 목표가 포함되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 17개의 SDGs 공동목표와 169개의 세부목표를 5가지의 대범주로 요목화 하고, 공동목표와 세부목표를 간단히 정리한 분석 틀을 활용하여 고등학교 ｢통합과학｣ 교과서 ‘Ⅳ. 환경과 에너지’ 단원에 포함된 SDGs 관련 내용 요소를 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 ESD를 접목한 ｢통합과학｣ 교과서를 개발할 때, 유용한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

The aim of this study analyzes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) included in the textbook of ‘Integrated Science’ in high school and give some useful advice for the future Science Curriculum. The United Nations (UN) has finalized the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) from 2000 to 2015 and announced SDGs to be implemented in 2016-2030, which is a key goal for ESD. The SDGs set 17 common goals, including ‘No Poverty’, ‘Zero Hunger’, ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’, ‘Quality Education’, ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’, and ‘Affordable and Clean Energy’ etc. The detailed target of 169 SDGs is included in 17 common targets. In this study, 17 SDGs common goals and 169 targets were categorized into 5 categories, and we analyzed the ‘Integrated Science’ textbook by SDGs framework that we made for this study. In particular, we will discuss the results of our research, focusing on lesson ‘Ⅳ. Environment and Energy’. Through this study we will advice on developing ‘Integrated Science’ textbook with ESD factors. It may give some meaningful implications.
