With the introduction of open educational system and the radical educational environment`s change, teachers` voluntary activities are required much more than ever. Also teachers` professional commitment begins to be highlighted in educational sphere. With such contextual change this paper tries first to review the relationship between organizational commitment/professional commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, and second to review the moderating effect of tenure on the such relationship. Empirical analysis was made based on the 698 teachers` questionnaires from western Kangwon-do area. To test the relationship between organizational-professional commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, multiple regression analysis was applied, and hierarchial regression analysis(Cohen & Cohen, 1983) applied to test the moderating effect of tenure. Multiple regression analysis showed that organizational commitment and professional commitment had an affirmative impact on civic virtue, courtesy, altruism, sportsmanship. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that organizational commitment and tenure had an negative interactional effect on altruism and sportsmanship. While professional commitment and tenure appeared to have a negative interactional effect on courtesy, they had an affirmative interactional effect on altruism.
