A study on the model of developing achievement standards, assessment standards and assessment tools for the vocation inquiry section-related subjects in the College Scholastic Ability Test
The purpose of this study is to identify the method of developing achievement and assessment standards for making an evaluation suitable for realizing characteristics and accomplishing objectives aimed by curriculum of the vocation inquiry section-related subjects among specialized subjects of vocational high schools, which will be introduced in the College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) for the school year of 2005, and to develop assessment tools, appropriate for each course, which will utilize these standards. To accomplish these goals, analysis of previous studies and literature was made and the joint study team(periodical workshops) and the consulting council were operated. In order to upgrade the quality of the curriculum of special subjects of vocational high schools and start successfully the vocation inquiry section in the CSAT for the school year of 2005, the following suggestions are given. First, achievement/assessment standards and assessment tools should be developed for the 17 vocation inquiry section-related courses. Second, specified studies should be made to identify how achievement/assessment standards developed by this study should be utilized for the CSAT for the school year of 2005. Third, ways should be provided to correct and complement achievement/assessment standards reflecting changes in industrial environment, knowledge and technology. Fourth; in order to promote use of achievement/assessment standards which will be developed through the results of this study and to facilitate the understanding by teachers, a training program should by provided to teachers at schools.
