The purpose of this study aimed to provide the model and program of work-based experience appropriate for the conditions of junior colleges in Korea. For the purpose of this study, first, the concept and objectives of work-based experience were reviewed and the model and program of work-based experience were also reviewed through the previous related studies. Secondly, the regulations of work-based experience in Korea were reviewed and the cases of work-based experience in foreign countries(work-based learning in the U.S., sandwich system in the U.K., and TAFE in the Australia) were also reviewed. Finally, the expert meeting consisting professors in junior colleges, educational administrators and industrial firms` staffs was held to make the final decision on the model and program of work-based experience appropriate for the conditions of junior colleges. Based on the results of this study, this study provided the model of work-based experience and the program according to the purpose and methods of operation.
