This study examined middle and high school students` part-time employment experiences. Especially, this study focused on who the working students are, what they experience, and what the consequences are. For empirical analysis, this study used YMCA data of youth employment survey (N=3767). As a result, this study found that part-time employment is not only for the students who are making problems in school. It. was a general phenomenon for most students in consuming society. This study also found that many students get negative experiences from works, but it depends on the characteristics of work and the channels to get the job. Finally, students who had work experiences had more positive attitudes to students` part-time employment, relative to students who had no work experiences. This study suggested that we need to support the students` part-time employment and to give them an opportunity to have educational experiences through work.
