일반적으로 심신수반이론은 마음이 뇌와 같은 물리적 기반에 수반한다는 이론으로 받아들여진다. 하지만 일반적 심신수반이론의 역방향, 즉 물리적 대상이 마음에 수반한다는 이론은 터무니없는 것으로 받아들여진다. 나는 범심론적 접근을 통해 물리적 대상이 마음에 수반한다는 것을 분석하려한다. 본 논문의 목적은 마음과 물질이 서로에게 쌍수반한다는 심신수반이론의 직관성과 정합성을 밝히는데 있다.
The supervenience thesis generally holds that the mental supervenes on the physical. Nevertheless, some philosophers argue that the idea that the physical supervenes on the mental is absurd. I attempt to show that the idea is intelligible if we understand the supervenience thesis from a panpsychist standpoint. The aim of this paper is to construct an intuitively appealing theoretical base for the thesis on which the mental and the physical mutually supervene on each other.
