기독교 전통에서 구원의 방편으로 간주되는 신앙의 부당성을 제기하는 비판은 크게 2가지로 나눌 수 있다. 즉, 신념 형성의 수동성 때문에 신앙에 대한 책임을 개인에게 물어서는 안 된다는 것과 인지능력이 없어 신념을 형성할 수 없는 사람은 신앙을 소유할 수 없어 신앙을 구원의 방편으로 삼는 것은 부당하다는 주장이다. 본 논문은 이러한 비판을 분석하고 그에 대한 대안으로 기독교 전통 안에서 다양한 방식으로 정당한 신앙이 형성될 수 있는지를 비판적으로 다룬다.
This paper is to analyze the problems of belief –centered ‘faith’ concept in traditional Christianity and to show an alternative concept which might resolve them. in Christian tradition, Faith, which is the only mean for religious salvation, has been considered to be consist of belief, trust and obedience. If so, how can the people who cannot have the belief because of their defect of cognitive faculty or insufficient epistemic evidence have faith? They do not. this paper deals with the possibility of ‘how can faith-formation be various within Christian tradition?’
