연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 유아가 자신의 강점을 인식하고 활용함으로써 행복한 상태를 알게 되는 메타인지의 원리를 반영한 교사용 유아강점리터러시척도를 개발하고 타당화 하는 것이다. 연구방법: 유아의 강점리터러시와 관련된 문헌 고찰, 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통하여 예비검사용 척도 44문항을 개발하였다. 예비검사를 실시한 후 최종 도출된 유아강점리터러시척도의 예비시안을 수정 및 보완하여 유치원과 어린이집에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 420명 중 불성실한 응답을 제외한 404명을 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 23.0 프로그램을 활용하였다. 연구결과: 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석 결과 유아강점리터러시척도는 강점인식과 강점활용의 2가지 하위 요인으로 10문항씩 총 20문항이 도출되었고, 유아강점리터러시척도의 문항반응분포, 문항변별도, 문항내적합치도, 구성타당도, 모형적합도는 적절하였다. 결론: 유아강점리터러시척도는 개발 과정의 측면에서는 유아강점리터러시를 일관되게 평가하는 안정된 도구였다. 내용적 측면에서는 도출된 2개의 영역 중 강점인식이 강점활용보다 높은 설명력을 가졌다. 활용적 측면에서는 본 척도의 개발이 유아의 일상생활과 놀이에서 관찰 가능한 유아의 강점리터러시를 확인함으로써 교육현장에서 유아가 자신의 대표강점을 인식하고 강점을 적극적으로 활용하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
Objective: This study aims to develop and validate the Early Childhood Strengths-Literacy Scale for early childhood teachers, reflecting the metacognitive principle in which children know happiness by recognizing and using their strengths. Methods: The scale was developed 44 items through preliminary examination through a literature review and focus group interview related to children’s strengths-literacy. The final preliminary draft of scale was corrected, and a questionnaire survey was conducted on 420 children aged 5. SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 programs were used for data analysis. Results: As a result of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, the two elements were strengths-recognition and strength-utilization, with a total of 20 items. Item response distribution, item discrimination, item internal consistency, construct validity, and model fit were satisfactory. Conclusions: The Early Childhood Strengths-Literacy Scale was verified as a stable tool for consistently evaluating children’s strengths-literacy. This study will help children recognize and actively utilize their representative strengths.
