중등 직업교육에서의 간호조무사 양성 교육과정 운영 현황 분석과 개선 방안

Analysis and improvement of the Current Status of Nursing Assistant Training and Curriculum in Secondary Vocational Education

본 연구는 의료계 현장에서 수요가 증가하고 있는 간호조무사를 양성하고 있는 중등 직업교육 교육과정 운영 현황을 분석하고 개선 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2019학년도 현재 간호조무사를 양성할 수 있는 교육과정(보건･복지 교과군)을 운영하는 55개 고등학교의 교육과정 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등 직업교육에서 간호 관련 학과는 매년 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 간호과가 최초로 개설된 1993년 대비 2019년 현재, 학급 수는 3,414.3%, 학생 수는 1,578.2% 증가하였다. 둘째, 간호조무사 양성 교육과정을 운영하는 학교를 유형별로 분석한 결과 특성화고는 83.6%로 대부분을 차지하고 일반고(10.9%), 학력인정학교(5.5%) 순으로 나타났다. 그리고 특성화고의 경우 상업고(40.4%), 가사고(21.1%), 공업고(8.8%), 실업고(7.0%), 농림업고(3.5%) 순으로 나타나 계열별로 큰 차이를 보이고 있었다. 셋째, 연구 대상인 55개 학교의 보건･복지 교과군의 기초과목 개설 현황을 분석한 결과 간호의 기초(100.0%), 기초 간호 임상 실무(100.0%), 공중 보건(90.9%), 인체 구조와 기능(67.3%), 인간 발달(65.5%), 보건 간호(52.7%) 순으로 편성･운영되고 있었으며, 그 양상은 학교 유형별, 계열별로 큰 차이를 보이고 있었다. 넷째, 간호조무사의 현장 실무 향상을 위해 실시하는 현장실습의 경우 정규 교육과정이 아닌 방학을 이용한 780시간의 실습을 하고 있어 학생들의 학습권, 휴식권을 침해하는 등이 운영상의 어려움으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 통해 향후 중등 직업교육을 통해 기초지식과 현장 실무 역량을 함양한 간호조무사를 양성하기 위해서는 학교 유형, 계열 등 학교 여건 및 환경과 무관하게 보건･복지 교과군의 교육과정 질 관리를 할 수 있는 ‘간호조무사 양성 교육과정 표준 모델(안)’ 개발과 함께 현장실습 개선 방안 마련이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of the curriculum operation in vocational high school, which foster nursing assistants whose demand is constantly increasing in the medical field, and to find the way to improve it. To this end, this was analyzed by collecting the curriculum organization table of 55 high schools operating curriculum(Health & Welfare subjects group) that can train nursing assistants as of 2019. The results are as follows. First, the nursing-related departments in secondary vocational education are continuously increasing each year, and as of 1993 when nursing departments were first established. Second, it showed that most of the school types running a training course for nursing assistants were the vocational high schools(83.6%), followed by the regular high schools(10.9%), the accredited schools(5.5%). Third, as a result of analyzing the status of the curriculum(Health & welfare subjects group) to foster nursing assistants, for the basic subjects, it was organized and operated in the order of the basic of nursing and basic nursing clinical practice(100.0%), public health(90.9%), human structure and function(67.3%), human development(65.5%), and health care(52.7%), and it showed big differences by schools and subjects. Fourth, it was found that the curriculum, which trains nursing assistants, infringe on students rights for learning and resting because the practice is operating during the vacation, not a regular curriculum. Based on the above results, it requires the development of a standard model for nursing curriculum for the quality control of the curriculum to train personnel who successfully act as nursing assistants focusing on core educational content regardless of the types or subjects of school.
