The objective of this study was to develop curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university. Specific objectives were; (1) to explore the current status of the curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university; (2) to investigate the educational needs of students and professors in the polytechnic university and farm managers; (3) to develop curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university. This study was carried out through review of literature, survey and discussion with panels of judges composed of experts in the crops production fields. Subjects for survey were 136. Major findings were as follows : (1) the current status of the curriculum for the department of agronomy in the polytechnic university was identified; (2) the educational needs for the identified jobs were analyzed ; (3) the results of the job analysis and need assessment were reviewed by panels of judges to develop a curriculum for the department of the agronomy. (4) the curriculum for the department of agronomy was composed of the following subject areas; basic area(12 subjects, 36 credits), crops production(12 subjects, 36 credits), genetics and breeding(5 subjects, 15 credits), processing of products(2 subjects, 6 credit), management and marketing(6 subjects, 18 credits), environmental area(3 subjects, 9 credits), practice and seminar(3 subjects, 6 credits). Based on the results of the study, recommendations were suggested.
